Session Recording

Session recording captures what happens during a session for compliance, training, and incident investigation. It is policy-driven and played back from the admin console.

How it works

When recording is enabled for a session — via policy, an organization override, a per-user override, or global settings — the session is recorded and stored. Recordings are listed in the Recordings section for playback and download. Recording metadata also appears in the audit trail.

When to use it

Enabling recording

The primary control is on a policy set's Session tab — see Recording Policy. More specific overrides (organization, per user) take precedence over broader ones, and global defaults live in Settings.

Warning

Recording captures on-screen activity that may include personal or regulated data, and may carry notification and retention obligations. Confirm your legal position, restrict who can view recordings, and set an appropriate retention period before enabling it broadly.
