Licence Activation
WebStream Core is free, but it requires a licence to be requested and activated. Without a valid licence, streamers cannot start and sessions will not launch.
Request and activate
- Open the Licence section. In the admin panel, go to Licence (
/admin/license). - Request your free Core licence. Use the licence request form. Requesting a Core licence takes seconds and unlocks all Core streaming capabilities.
- Activate. Apply the licence and confirm the status shows Valid.
Editions and limits
The licence determines your edition and the entitlement limits enforced by the platform.

Licence states
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Valid | Licence is active; sessions can launch. |
| Grace | Licence has lapsed but a short grace period is in effect. |
| Expired | Licence is no longer valid; new sessions are blocked. |
| None | No licence applied yet. |
Warning
The dashboard surfaces licence warnings for expired, grace-period, clock-tamper, and cloud-suspended states. Resolve these promptly to avoid interrupting user sessions.
Manage licences online
Registered customers can request, upgrade, downgrade, cancel, and renew licences through the Customer Portal. See License Lifecycle.
