Create a User

Create an account so a person can sign in and launch sessions. In Built-in authentication mode, WebStream stores the account and password; in OIDC or LDAP modes, accounts are typically provisioned from the identity provider.

Steps

  1. Open Users and choose Add.
  2. Enter the username, display name, and email.
  3. Set a password (Built-in mode) and confirm the account is enabled.
  4. Save.
  5. Add the user to a group in the Groups section so they inherit access to workspaces and applications.

Tip

A user with no group membership can sign in but sees no workspaces. Always assign at least one group, or add the user to the built-in everyone group.
