First Login

The admin panel is the central management interface for all WebStream configuration. It is reachable only from the server itself, over HTTP, which keeps the management surface off the public network.

Open the admin panel

  1. RDP to the server using the administrator credentials from your cloud console.
  2. Open the admin panel in the server's browser at http://localhost:9008/admin/.
  3. Sign in with the default credentials admin / webstream.

Change the default password immediately

The default credentials are publicly documented, so changing the password is the first thing you should do. Open Users, select the admin user, and set a new password.

Warning

Until you change the default password, anyone who can reach the server can administer your deployment. Do this before exposing the server to any network.

Get oriented

The dashboard shows licence status, counts of organizations, users, groups, applications, workspaces, and policies, and a recent activity log. The left navigation groups the console into setup sections (organizations, users, applications, workspaces, policies) and monitoring sections (operations, reports, recordings).
