Part 8 — Industry & Vertical Playbooks

Vertical playbooks connect a technical blocker to a measurable first-app evaluation without assuming every organisation in an industry has the same needs.

Distribution and 3PL

Pattern: a legacy WMS client across warehouses or partner locations. Pressure: endpoint support, data-centre exit and remote access. PoC: complete an inventory or dispatch workflow including file import, label/report output and a retained integration.

Public sector

Pattern: administration or registry software with controlled users. Pressure: remote access, auditability and ageing infrastructure. PoC: validate federated identity, least privilege, permitted egress and event evidence. Confirm privacy and recording obligations before collecting session content.

Healthcare

Pattern: practice or clinical administration clients. Pressure: endpoint management and data-location controls. PoC: use synthetic data to validate access, report output, integrations and audit events. Product delivery does not by itself establish regulatory compliance.

Independent software vendors

Pattern: a mature Win32 product that customers expect to access as SaaS. Pressure: rewrite timelines and support cost. PoC: publish one representative workflow, validate tenant/session isolation and model operations and licensing at target concurrency.

Qualification discipline

For every vertical, identify the named application, business transaction, users, dependencies, data classification, current cost and deadline. A generic industry label is not sufficient qualification.
